Jimmy Started out by winning his heat in and easy fashion at Jacksonville. The car did not look so well as it would fall back in the dash. Jimmy started 1st and feel back to 3rd. In the A main it was a different story as the car worked the 1/4 mile track from top to bottom applying pressure to leader Joey Moughan lap after lap. The potent #35 would try to slide the #8h two times but would be unsuccessful both times. That would not stop Jimmy as they hit lap traffic Joey went low and Jimmy went high around a lap car. In the process Jimmy would make contact with the back stretch wall breaking both rear shock pins with 6 laps to go. That would cause the #35 not to finish. 4/5/09 - Press Release

With the first race of the year out of the way, Jimmy & crew are ready for the next race having struggled all night fighting with a steering issue. The day began with having problems before leaving shop getting the #35 to fire. Once the crew worked out a few kinks they got on the road late causing them to miss the hot lap session. Jimmy would line up 3rd row outside of is heat race only to pull off during the first lap with steering failure. The crew got started working on it right away. The feature came around & the #35 Action Graphics, Miles Chevrolet, Maxim Chassis started on the outside of row 9. Hurley would start back from the rest of the field to test the car out & see if they solved there steering nightmare. He quickly realized the issue wasn’t completely fixed but wanted to stay out & see how the new car handled. Hurley hustled the #35 around for 15 circuits slowly picking up spots. On lap 15 after a few cautions the steering was a bigger beast then he could handle & pulled off. The 25 year old Springfield, Il Native Hurley said the car felt great other then the steering. He is real pleased with the new car & not having time to setup the car & not having been out on the track before the feature, was real happy with the handling of the potent #35. Jimmy will be back in racing action next Saturday at Farmington, MO.
