9/1/08 - Press Release

HURLEY BRINGS OUT THE BROOM.

With fans in the stands on this J-98 the Boot and Ron’s Tire Center night at the races, Jimmy Hurley, Springfield, IL brought out the broom and made a clean sweep of the Sprint Division. The “Hat Trick” was accomplished by winning his heat, the dash, and the feature. A great way to start the Labor Day Weekend for this young driver.

Driving his Action Graphics, Velocity Wings, Bell Helmets, Miles Chevrolet entry, Hurley only had to encounter one close call enroute to the win. Brad Yoder would do a complete spin in the second turn as the leaders were approaching. All drivers escaped without incident. During that close encounter, second place runner, Tim Montgomery had his best chance at taking the lead. Montgomery went to the low side, Hurley went high and had a drag race down the back stretch. Going side by side into three, Hurley would use the small amount of cushion and remain in the lead.

Top five are Hurley, Tim Montgomery, Tom Dickerman, Keith Burch and Joey Montgomery.

8/30/08 - Update

After a very lackluster 2008 season Jimmy finally visited victory lane for the 3rd time on the year and second at Farmington Missouri. Jimmy showed up and did like always drew the #44 pill and had to start on the back of his heat race. That would not affect him as he would be on a mission coming from the back to win the heat. In the dash his luck changed as he got the #1 pill and would run off with the dash. In the A-main Jimmy was a rocket and nearly had to mishaps with lap cars that would put a scare to all of his fans. Jimmy was able to over come them, and pull away to an easy win. After the race Jimmy exited the car and said "Man I love this car".  He would also say that" We have being trying some new things this year and they were not working so we decided to go back with what we had last year and switched cars and it paid off for us tonight". Jimmy would like to give a special thanks to the people that make it happen for him Jeff and Stacy. Thank you so much and your help is very appreciated. Hurley Racing will be back in action next Saturday at Farmington. The schedule page is also updated and also has all the results from this year and the previous weeks since I have been lacking on the updates. There will be some new pics up this week to.

7/21/08 - Update

Jimmy has changed his schedule to run Farmington the rest of the year. He will also be hitting some of the closer MASS races that don't conflict with Farmington. He would also like to thank his new sponsors. You know who you are and we really appreciate it.

7/19/08 - Update

Once again Jimmy drew a bad pill starting him dead last in his heat race. Jimmy would make quick work in the heat and would move up to 2nd putting him in the dash. Jimmy was a rocket in the dash. He would start on the pole and not look back as he blasted around the top in 3 and 4 and the bottom in 1 and 2. In the A-main Tom Dickerman would take the lead early but on lap 3 Jimmy would take over the point. Jimmy sliced threw lap traffic all race long until around lap 21 when his car got real tight on the top in 3 and 4. The next lap Tommy Worley Jr. would put a slide on him and would go on to win. Jimmy finished 2nd. After the race Jimmy commented that this was a great 2 night weekend for us as we got a little bit of the consistency that we needed. Two top 5's inst anything to get upset about he said. Now we are back on track and have something to work with so lets see if we can't finish the year strong and get u some W's.

7/17/08 - Update

It's not to often that Hurley Motorsports gets to run on a Thursday night but they where all glad to get away from work. The night started off like it has all year by Jimmy drawling a bad pill. He would start 6th in the heat race and would finish 2nd. In the dash Jimmy would hold his spot and come home 4th. In the A-main Jimmy battled a lose race car and could not advance his position and would finish 4th. Jimmy was pretty happy after the race. He said that they had something to work with again on the setup. HE said that they had been far off but they were heading in the right direction.

7/12/08 - Update

Once again Jimmy would draw a bad pill and start in the back of his heat race. Jimmy was in a stacked heat to. He would work his way up from 7th to 3rd. In the A-main Jimmy was set to start 9th and the night fell to rain. The race will be made up on August 2nd. Before the rain fell Jimmy liked his chances of coming threw the field from his 9th starting spot. He really likes them now that the track will be dry slick,

6/28/08   - Update

Jimmy's return was not so great at Farmington as he would start 3rd in the heat race with Bryan Matthews and Tim Montgomery in front of him. Jimmy would end up 3rd. Jimmy started 9th in the A-main and would work his way up 2spots on the follow the leader track. Jimmy wasn't happy with the night at all. He said that the team had a a lot of work to do for the next race.

6/24/08 - Update

Hurley Motorsports will be heading back to familiar territory this weekend as they make their way back to Farmington, Mo. Jimmy stated that he is looking forward to getting back there to see all his great fans. Jimmy also said it is time to get the year back on track as he has recently struggled with just about anything you can struggle with.  He said the team has worked really hard this week to get things back together and in top notch shape. Jimmy also said that he plans on running Farmington every week that he can and he will not be running all the MASS races due to the rising cost of fuel. He stated that he will be doing a lot of hit and miss stuff, just whatever is closer for him. He also would like to thank all of his fans for showing their appreciation after the races on Friday night.

Jimmy in victory lane at Spoon River Speedway

6/23/08 - Update

Sorry for the lack of updates. Jimmy had a up and down weekend after a string of 4 bad weeks. The team was really down on the year after being in the wrong place at the wrong time, or mechanical failure or just drawling a bad pill. Friday night at Spoon River Speedway Jimmy made everyone feel a little better by qualifying 6th out of 26 cars with a motor that was missing and also without one spark plug. In the heat race Jimmy would advance by getting 4th after starting 6th. In the dash Jimmy tagged the back and would not show anyone his hand as he sat in the back trying out his car. Then came the A-main and Jimmy was on the pole. He would lead the 1st lap and then got passed by Jimmy Moughan. Moughan would pull away but Hurley would catch him in traffic and that were Moughan made his mistake. Jimmy would go on to win his 2nd feature of the year easily. Saturday night at Montgomery county was not nice to Jimmy at all. Jimmy would set 8th quick time out of 19. He would run 2nd in the Heat and won the dash. In the A-main the team guessed wrong and Jimmy was not a force at all. He would pull off 5 laps into the A. This week he will be in Farmington, Mo.

Hurley Battle’s Boyhood Hero, Comes Out on Top

Image

CAMARGO, IL (06-20-08) by Robert Cortum - Midwest All Star Series

As a kid, O’Reilly Midwest All Star Jimmy Hurley used to sit in the stands as many young fan and cheer on his dirt track heroes. One of those heroes Jimmy was cheering on back then was the man lined up to his right when the green flag dropped Friday night at the Spoon River Speedway in Canton, Illinois, Jim Moughan.

“It was great to race here at Canton tonight and to fight it out with Jim (Moughan) was a lot of fun, Jim had a bit of bad luck about halfway through there (when he got a little too high in turn 3),” stated the owner of the $2000 top prize and pilot of the Action Graphics #35. “We were hooked up real good on the bottom tonight. We should have qualified better, but we were down a cylinder due to a spark plug wire coming off.”

5/11/08 - Update

For the second night in a row Hurley Motorsports was rained out. This time mother nature let the team get all the way to the track to rain them out. Jimmy finally drew a good pill (# 4) which would of started him on the front row of his heat race. Jimmy commented "that is just how things go, you finally start to change things around to have them taken back. We will just have to wait and see how next week goes". The team will be back in action next Saturday at Farmington before starting the 2008 MASS season. Jimmy said he is ready to get racing 2 and 3 nights a week because it is not paying for the car to sit around in the shop. Fuel prices are also not helping. Jimmy would like to wish a happy Mother's day to his mom Joyce and all the other mother's.

5/9/08 - Update

Friday May 9th Tri City Raceway Rained out. Jimmy will be back in action tomorrow night at the Saint Francois County Raceway where he is going to try and make it 2 for 3.

5/4/08 - Update

Saturday night at Farmington was not as nice as the previous to Jimmy. Once again for the 2nd week in a row Jimmy drew the # 41 pill. That would place Jimmy 3rd row outside of his heat race. He quickly moved up to the 3rd spot on lap 2 and was passing for 2nd when the 2nd place car spun out in front of him taking him out of action. Jimmy would have to start 20th in the A-main and the crew did not have time to put a setup on the car as they were working to get the car back together. Jimmy would race threw the field to a 10th place finish. After the race Jimmy commented that he had a better car earlier in the night than he did the previous week that he won. He also stated that he knew that they would of been there to try and make it 2 for 2 at Farmington.

4/29/08 - Update

I have added 6 photos from Saturday night at Farmington. Jimmy is looking forward to returning back to action this Saturday at Farmington. The team planned on running Benton Missouri Friday night but with the weather forecast saying a 70% chance of rain it is not worth the team taking the chance of getting rained out with fuel prices $ 4.30 a gallon.

4/27/08 - Update

What a start for opening night at Farmington. Jimmy got to the track only to draw the # 41 pill which would line him up 3rd row outside of the heat race. There was no passing in the heats and that worried Jimmy but he was able to sneak by cars to end up 2nd. Jimmy would then get the # 4 pill for the dash. Jimmy said the car was really tight in the dash so the crew made some changes for the A. Jimmy started 2nd row out side of the A-main. Jimmy would run 4th until lap 13 when he made a pass on Bryan Matthews. The yellow flag would come out 2 laps later and Jimmy would pass Tim Montgomery on the restart and going into the next corner would pass Tommy Worley Jr. for the lead. Jimmy would pull out to almost a half track lead in the remaining 10 laps. Jimmy would like to thank his crew for giving him a great car all night and his sponsors Action graphics, Hoosier Tire, Bell Helmets and Velocity wings. Jimmy will be back in action next week at Benton and Farmington.

Passing Tommy Worley for the lead

4/12/08 - Update

Well Jimmy had his fair share of problems to start the 2008 Midwest All Star Sprint car series campaign. In hot laps the motor would not run. The crew worked hard to fix the problem for qualifying but was a unable to find the problem. Jimmy did end up with the 6th quickest time. The crew tried again to fix the problem for the heat and dash with no luck. Jimmy would finish 5th in his heat and would make it to the A from the heat and retain his qualifying time. In the dash the motor shut off. The crew worked hard to fix the problem for the A and they finally got it right. Jimmy started front row outside and quickly jumped out to the lead until lap 3 when his right front shock mount broke on the rough track. Jimmy would stay out and cowboy it around the very un pre paired race track of Benton. Jimmy would end up 4th and the finish line. If you were there it was a very exciting finish for Jimmy as he went sliding down the front stretch after racing another car back to the line. After the night Jimmy was very happy with a top 5 after having all the problems they had and with the right front shock mount breaking. He also said that anytime you can put your car in the trailer in one piece after racing on a track like that, you should be very happy. The team will be back in action next Saturday night at Farmington, Mo.

4/11/08 - Update

Farmington is canceled after heavy rains and the cold temps forecasted for tomorrow night.

2/29/08 - Update

CAMARGO, IL (2-28-08) by Robert Cortum - Midwest All Star Series

Jimmy Hurley has become a force to be reckoned with every time he shows up at the track. This became very evident last season with the O’Reilly Midwest All-Star Series.

Hurley, who calls Springfield, Illinois home, will once again bring his potent Maxim/Jeff McKay Engines machine into the mix of the “Best in the Midwest” in 2008. While his plans will also include stops with the O’Reilly All Star Circuit of Champions and visits to the weekly programs at St. Francois County Raceway, his goal is to become the 2008 Midwest All Star Champion.

The 2007 season was a roller coaster for Hurley and team. Hurley’s crew was affected by an out of control mishap of another driver at Jacksonville, Illinois at a non-Midwest All Star event. Fortunately, Hurley’s team members were okay after the incident that eventually postponed that night’s events. Later on in the season the team was involved with an auto accident that left their truck and trailer destroyed.

The team fired back throughout the season by keeping their composure and focusing on pushing the popular #35 to the front of each event. For their efforts, Hurley brought home two victories in Midwest All Star action and four other wins on the season.

“We are looking to rebound from the things that happened last year and really focus on winning a championship,” Hurley commented. “It’s been said by guys like Schatz and Saldana that to win the championship you have to win every race. It’s that attitude we like to bring to the track each night.”

As for improvements for the 2008 season Hurley stated, “We would like to qualify better this year. That was one of the things we struggled with in 2007. We are going to take our notes from last year and figure out the best way to make them work even better for us this year.”

“The team and I want to hit more races this year. The combined rules with the All Star Circuit of Champions will help in that area. We will be really focused on the Midwest All Stars Series, but we will be hitting some of the other shows since there will not be any rule changes between the two series.”

The #35 team this year will be sponsored by Miles Chevrolet and Action Graphics. Hurley has announced that he still has sponsorship opportunities available in the form of primary and associate sponsors. Additionally, he will gain assistance with his program from Hoosier Racing Tires, Velocity Wings, and Pro Shocks.

On a personal note, he is joined at many of the events by his fiancé, parents, and many close relatives. “They have always supported me in everything I have done with racing. They are my biggest fans,” he added.

2/28/08 - Update

The 2008 schedule is up finally. Jimmy will run a variety of races this season. He will try and contend for the championship with the Midwest All Star Sprint Series. He will also race at the Saint Francois County Raceway numerous times. Also on the 2008 schedule will be the Short Track Nationals in Little Rock Arkansas. Jimmy has a full schedule ahead of him this season and he is ready to go. The 2008 season starts with the World of Outlaws at Pevely, Missouri and then to Benton, Mo before finding his way back to Farmington, Missouri the next evening. We hope to see everyone soon and are excited to get the season underway.

2/15/08 - Update

With the 1st race just a little under 6 weeks away Hurley racing is finalizing everything for the 2008 season. Once again Jimmy will run with the Midwest All Star Series. Jimmy will try and overtake Jerrod Hull atop the point standings. Jimmy is going to try and make the WoO show at Pevely, Mo on April the 5th, then kick off the MASS schedule at Benton, Mo on April the 11th. Jimmy will then head to Farmington, Mo on the 12th and try and kick it off right there. Jimmy and the team are real excited about this season as they think they can win the championship and really rack up some wins. Hurley Racing is looking forward to seeing everyone this season. Check back later for more updates and the schedule.

1/3/08 - Update

Happy New Year's to everyone. The 2008 racing season is almost here and Hurley Racing is getting ready to start their run for the 2008 Mid West All Star Championship. I would also like to let everyone know that their is 36 new pictures from the 2007 season up on the photo's section. Keep checking back for the 2008 schedules.

11/23/07 - Update

I have created a new header for the site. Jimmy would like to thank everyone that helped him this year and he is looking forward to next season as he will once again shoot for the Midwest All Star Series championship. Jimmy finished 5th in the series points this season after missing 3 races. Jimmy won 2 features in the series and put on a very impressive run at Bloomington coming from the back to 2nd. Jimmy also picked up 4 features at Farmington. The most notable was the 410 summer nationals. Jimmy said the win that stood out the most to him was the Midwest All Star Series win at Canton. He has always loved to race there and finally got him a win there. Jimmy also won at Montgomery County with the Midwest All Star Series.

9/23/07 - Update

As the season comes to an end Jimmy is looking for wins. Saturday night At Mount Vernon Illinois he had a chance to add another one to his list. Jimmy would start second row outside and quickly move into the 2nd spot. A middle race caution would come out on a 1 grooved track and Jimmy knew his only chance was to try and pass Jerrod Hull on the outside. Jimmy tried just that only to have a lap car go high and block him allowing  Ryan Bunton to get by him. Jimmy would end up finishing 4th. Jimmy would also run 4th in his heat and was 7th quick qualifier.

9/18/07- Update

Jimmy once again won his heat at Jacksonville and would miss the dash due to a poor qualifying time. Jimmy would really make a charge in the A-main from his 12th starting spot to 6th in just 2 laps before A.J. Bruns would loop his car in front of Jimmy causing Jimmy to stop. Jimmy would then go back to 22nd and end up 10th. The next night Jimmy would try and make it 2 in a row at canton. Jimmy started the night off good by setting 3rd quick time. In the heat race Jimmy started 6th and would finish 3rd. In the A-main Jimmy and the crew would start 4th and missed the setup big time. Jimmy would run 3rd for about 9 laps and that was all he could hold on for. Jimmy would pull off on lap 15 after falling back to 13th. Jimmy was scored for 15th.

9/11/07 - Update

Farmington was canceled last weekend and that was the only scheduled race for Jimmy last weekend. This is a big weekend for Jimmy as the MASS series goes to Jacksonville and Canton this weekend. Jimmy is looking forward to moving up in the points race as he is only 60 points behind Ryan Bunton for 4th. Jimmy has missed 2 shows in the series.

9/1/07 - Update

Jimmy did not have the night he wanted to when he returned to MASS action at Jacksonville. Jimmy once again won his heat race and the dash. Because Jimmy is not the best qualifier in the world he would start 5th row inside of the A-main and would move up to 6th where he would finish. The next night was a different story as he went to his old stomping ground of Farmington, Mo. Jimmy would triple crown for the 2nd time in his career. Jimmy was on a rope all night long as he was never seriously challenge the whole night. That was Jimmy's 4th win at Farmington and 6th overall win of the season. Jimmy got a wild hair up his butt to go race at Burlington, Ia on Sunday and he would finish 4th in his heat and started the A in 11th. Jimmy quickly moved up to 4th. With a lot of cautions Jimmy had a hard time getting his right rear tire to light up since he went with a old hard tire. If he wasn't so cheap he would of had a top 5 car instead of a 13th.

8/4/07 - Update

Jimmy started the weekend off at Jacksonville on Friday night by winning his heat and the dash. That would put Jimmy 5th row inside of the A-main and Jimmy would finish where he started. The next night Jimmy and the crew headed to Montgomery County where Jimmy would set 8th quick time. Jimmy started 2nd row outside of his heat race and would finish 2nd. Jimmy would once again win the dash for the second night in a row. Jimmy would start on the pole of the A-main and checked out as he was never challenged. That was Jimmy's 2nd MASS win of the year and 5th A-main win of the year. Jimmy will be back in action this weekend with the MASS series at Liberty, In and he will then go to either Farmington, Mo or Fremont, Oh on Saturday night.

7/21/07 - Update

Jimmy finally won a feature at Spoon River Speedway. After being close for 3 years in a row Jimmy finally got him one by leading the last 17 laps of the MASS series event. Jimmy would finish 3rd in the dash and 2nd in his heat race.

6/18/07 - Update

The week did not start off the way Jimmy would of wanted it to but is sure did end great for him as he captured the checkers in the 2nd annual 410 Summer Nationals at the Saint Francois County Raceway for a $4500 pay day. The week got started off in Pevely Missouri where Jimmy would run 5th in his heat and would then have to run the B-main. Jimmy would finish 2nd in it. In the A-main Jimmy would work his way from his 18th starting position to 8th when he would get caught up in a crash but Jimmy would be able to restart but he would pull off 2 laps later. Jimmy was scored for 15th. The next night Jimmy went to run with the Outlaws at Tri City Speedway and Jimmy fought motor problems all night long. Jimmy would pull off in the B-main. Friday night Jimmy headed to Saint Francois County Raceway and would time in 8th quick. Jimmy would win his heat race and then followed that up with a 5th place finish in the dash. In the A-main Jimmy was just looking for a top 4 to lock him into the Saturday night finale. Jimmy would do just that by finishing 3rd. The next night all Jimmy would have to do is run a dash and the A. In the dash Jimmy started front row outside and would finish 2nd to Joey Montgomery. In the A-main Jimmy took off leading all 30 laps. Jimmy would not get a challenge until a streak of cautions would come out. Jerrod Hull stuck his nose under Jimmy 4 times but he could not make the pass as Jimmy would pull away again in the final 5 laps for the 4500.00 pay day.

6/7/07 - Update

Jimmy could not make it 3 in a row at Farmington last Saturday but he did give it one hell of a try. Jimmy would finish where he started in the heat race and that would put him in the 4th row of the A-main. Jimmy got busy from the drop of the green flag and would quickly move to the front as he would pass A.J. Bruns, and joey boyd in the opening laps of the feature. The lead car would get into lap traffic and that is where Jimmy was a rocket. He would make up a straight on leader Tommy Worley and Joey Montgomery in just 3 laps until a yellow came out. That would put Jimmy 3rd and on the restart Jimmy quickly passed Jason Hunt to move into the 2nd spot and would race wheel for wheel with Joey Montgomery. After 3 restarts with 2 laps to go Jimmy was unable to get the win. Jimmy was by Joey on the last lap but Montgomery was to good on the high side. Jimmy will be back in action this Friday at Jacksonville with the MSCS series then Saturday night at Spoon River Speedway with the MASS series.

 5/31/07 - Update

Watch Jimmy win at Farmington last week by watching his in car camera by going to http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OUX1Ccltynw

5/28/07 - Update

After 2 bad weeks of racing Jimmy finally struck again in Farmington. Last weekend was the worst weekend in Jimmy's life as 4 members of his crew were hit by a sprint car that came into the pit stands. All are doing very well after a big scare. Friday night Jimmy started his 2007 chase at the MASS championship at Benton Missouri but rain would cancel the show. Saturday night not even mother nature would stop Jimmy from winning for his crew. Jimmy won his heat race easily . He also won the dash by a straight away. In the a main he was 3/4 a lap ahead of 2nd until a late race caution came out. He would still end up winning by a half of a lap. Jimmy would like to thank his crew #1 for being there for him after all they went threw last weekend and also Jeff Mackay for putting together one hell of a motor. Jimmy will be back in action this Saturday at Farmington again.

5/12/07 - Update

There was still signs of bad luck for Jimmy Saturday night at Farmington but none of them would stop him as the team had the car on a rail all night long. Jimmy would lose his brakes half way threw the heat race but would still win it by a half of a track. In the dash Jimmy started 3rd and ran 2nd but almost beat A.J. Bruns back to the line. In the A-main Jimmy took the lead over from A.J on the 2nd lap and would never look back. Joey Montgomery would really give Jimmy a run for him money for 7 or 8 laps but Jimmy held him off for his 1st feature win of the year and 10th career feature win. On the last lap Jimmy lost his nose wing and it blew up right in his sight of vision. Jimmy had to guess where is was going the last lap but it didn't matter as he had a big lead.  Jimmy will be back in action this Friday night at Jacksonville with a 360. He will then go back to Farmington on Saturday before starting his March for a championship with the MASS series the week after.

5/9/07 - Update

Sorry for the lack of updates but I have been pretty busy lately putting racecars back together if you have been at the races. Jimmy started the season off pretty rough at Benton when he had problems all night long with the power steering. He got the problems fixed for the next night at Farmington where he would start last in his heat and quickly move up to the 2nd spot until the lap car of Tubby Black would move up the track and Jimmy jumped his right rear and hit the wall hard. The crew would work hard to get Jimmy ready for the A and they got it done. Jimmy passed 6 cars in the 1st lap of the A until Tommy Worley would smack him in the ass going into turn 3 and it would end Jimmy's night. The next week Jimmy would once again run Farmington and he was fast. He would get 3rd in his heat and would run a close 2nd to Tommy Worley. This last weekend was another rough one for Jimmy. Jimmy started 3rd in the heat and would run 2nd at the line. In the dash Jimmy walked away with it. Jimmy would lead the first 15 laps of the A main until he got into heavy lap traffic and Tommy Worley and Joey Montgomery would use the high side to get around him. Jimmy would battle with Joey for 3 laps before Jimmy put a good slide on him only to have Joey turn him into the wall and it would end Jimmy's night once again. Jimmy is not letting the slow and rough start hurt his confidence. Jimmy and the crew are ready to get back to Farmington and show everyone what they are really made of and are really excited for the start of the MASS series in 2 weeks at Benton.

4/17/07 - Update

Jimmy will try to give it another shot this weekend at Benton and Farmington. The first 4 races have been canceled due to the weather and it looks like mother nature will finally lets us race this weekend. Jimmy is looking forward to seeing everyone again at the track and encourages you to come down to the pits afterwards to talk to him. Cya at the races.

Jimmy will be using a bran new motor built by Gary Beck. Jimmy will then head to I-55 the next night to race with the World of Outlaws at Pevely, Mo. The crew is focusing on running the full MASS schedule this year and then doing some random shows. Jimmy will be at Farmington, Mo when possible also. Jimmy is really excited about this year as he thinks he will have a break out year. The crew worked really hard on getting the cars together and preparing the motors for the season.

1/30/07 - Update

Well the 2007 racing season is almost here and Jimmy has new plans for this year. Jimmy will be running with the MASS series. Jimmy will also run at Farmington when he is not running with the series. Jimmy and the crew are just about ready for the start of the season as he is waiting on his motors to get back.

 12/4/06 - Update

The racing season is over and Jimmy hopes the 2007 brings a better outcome. Jimmy would like to thank all of his sponsors from the 2006 season. Jimmy finished the year 3rd in points at Jacksonville and 2nd in the Valvoline National Cup points. I have also added about 10 new photos. Jimmy is looking for sponsors for the 2007 season. Jimmy will really like to travel with the All Stars or the Ascs National tour. Keep checking back for more information.

10/1/06 - Update

After a bad month Jimmy finally got his act back together as him and the 35 crew would bring home a 3rd place finish in the $3500 to win show at Jacksonville. Jimmy would then back that up with a win at Farmington the next night. On Friday night Jimmy started 3rd in his heat race and passed for the lead on the last lap at the flag stand to pick up the heat win. In the dash Jimmy and the crew would try a new setup and it would not work. Jimmy ended up 4th. In the A-main Jimmy started 4th and quickly moved into the 2nd spot and would stay there until lap 16 when Gary Wright found the rubber. Wright would chase down Tom Busch for the win. Jimmy reeled both of them back in but ran out of laps. Saturday night it was cheater's night at Farmington. Jimmy started on the front row pole of the heat race and would win it easy. In the dash Jimmy was awful. He would start last and end up 6th. In the A-main it was a different story. Jimmy and the crew had the #35 flyin as he would take the lead on lap 6 from his 4th starting spot. Jimmy would not be challenged after he took the lead. 6/17/06 - Update

Not quite the way Jimmy wanted his 2006 Illinois Missouri Challenge week to go but Jimmy said it could of been a lot worse. Jimmy would Finish 9th after Starting 13th at I-55. Jimmy said all night long the motor wasn't running right. They have had the same problem all year long with the motor not turning any rpm's. In Jacksonville Friday night Jimmy would get stuck dead last of a tough heat and miss the transfer by 1 spot. This put Jimmy in the B main for the first time in a long time. Jimmy would finish 4th in it and missed the show by 1 spot. Once again Jimmy said he couldn't get the motor to go. Saturday night was a Rainout.

6/11/06 - Update

It was another 2 top 5's for Jimmy this weekend. Jimmy would finish 4th in Jacksonville and 5th in Farmington. At Jacksonville Jimmy ran 3rd in his heat race. He said that he didn't have a top 5 car but lucked out and put it in the top 5. At Farmington Jimmy would win his heat and finish 2nd in the Dash. In the A-main it was slide job after slide job for 2-5th. Jimmy said it was the most fun he has had in a while.

6/6/06 - Update

Jimmy is starting to really heat up as he brings home 2 more top 5 finishes over the weekend. First Jimmy traveled back to Farmington. Jimmy would start on the outside of the front row and win his heat easily. In the dash Jimmy started 6th and would spin out but would end up 5th. In the A-main Jimmy said the car was not handling good at all but he managed to bring home 4th. Sunday night at Lincoln Jimmy would win his heat race. That would put him on the front row pole for the A-main. Jimmy led the first 22 laps until he got caught behind  a lap car on a one groove track.. That allowed Jimmy Moughan to sneak by him and win. Jimmy would finish 2nd. After the weekend was over Jimmy said he is really pleased with how the team is starting to get back into the groove that we were in last year. Jimmy also said that money is the issue with the slow start this year. He hopes to pick up his first win of the season this weekend at Jacksonville or Lincoln.

A late caution would come out and Jimmy tried to make a pass for the lead but could not get it done. Jimmy would let Jimmy Moughan go by and Chris Urish. Jimmy ended up 4th. After the race Jimmy said he was happy just to finish at Lincoln and to have it be a good finish was better yet. Jimmy also said he knew he let one get away tonight.

5/28/06 - Update

The Summer Nationals at Farmington did not turn out as great as Jimmy would of liked them to. On the opening night Jimmy was one of the last one's to qualify and there was no track left. Jimmy set 15th quick time which would start him last in his heat and 15th in the A-main. Jimmy would just try out some new setups the first night and he would end up pulling in the A-main. The second night was better. Jimmy was once again one of the last ones to qualify but he would set 2nd quick time. Jimmy started 4th in his heat and would end up 3rd. In the dash Jimmy ran 2nd. In the A-main Jimmy would get up to 3rd but when the track took rubber he fell back to 5th and that was where he would finish.

Jimmy qualifying at Farmington for the Summer Nationals

5/22/06 - Update

Jimmy is now in 2nd place in points just 7 points behind Chris Urish. Saturday night Jimmy went back to Farmington to get ready for the $7500 to win show next weekend. Jimmy picked up where he left off last year. Jimmy would move from his 4th starting position to 2nd in his heat race. Jimmy won the dash from the outside of the front row. Jimmy would then battle with Jason Keith for 5 laps of the A-main until Tommy Worley would sneak by them both. Jimmy then pasted Jason back for 2nd. Jimmy would run Tommy down and tried passing him in very heavy lap traffic but could not get the job done. Timmy Montgomery would sneak by Jimmy on the last lap. Jimmy said after the weekend was over that they were very happy as a team how the weekend went. He said that he let one get away at Farmington but he was happy to know that the old car was working. Jimmy tore up his new chassis two weeks prior at Jacksonville and had to use his 1999 frame. Jimmy also stated that he thinks they will be very competive for the $7500 to win show next weekend at Farmington.

5/13/06 - Update

Jacksonville rained out! Jimmy made his way back to Farmington on Saturday night and he had a really bad night. He took a motor that he just got freshened up and it only lasted 3 laps in hot laps before it blew up. Jimmy would drive Gary Beck's # 17 car and have to start dead last in the A main. Jimmy moved from his 21st starting spot to get a solid top 10 in a car he has never sat in before.

5/5/06 - Update

Jimmy still has the bad luck following him as he would draw a bad pill once again and have to start in the back of a tough heat race. Jimmy would finish 6th in it. That would put Jimmy 12th in the A-main and he would flip on the opening lap of the race. Jimmy got scored for 16th. Farmington Rained out the next night.

4/29/06 - Update

Well Jimmy finally drew a good pill. He drew #1 and would start on the pole of his heat race and win it of Robbie Standridge. In the dash Jimmy would start 2nd row inside and would finish there on the one groove track. In the A-main Jimmy started 3rd and moved up to 2nd. Jimmy then slipped out of the rubber and lost one spot with 3 laps to go. Jimmy would end up 3rd on the rubber downed track. Saturday night at Farmington has already rained out.

4/25-06 - Update

What a slow start for the 2006 season for Jimmy. Jimmy had high hopes for this season and it has been nothing but bad luck. Jimmy's only good run in his 5 races this year was the 3rd place finish he had at Jacksonville on  April 13th. Jimmy lead most of the race until Jerrod Hull passed him with 9 laps remaining. Jimmy then was passed by Jimmy Moughan on the last lap taking the checker flag. Jimmy has not fared to well at Lincoln speedway where it is a follow the leader track. He has drew in the back of his heat race all three times he has been there. The track takes rubber in the heat races and eats up 4 tires. Last week in Jacksonville Jimmy was running in 5th and hit the wall with 6 laps to go and broke a drive shaft. In Lincoln the next night Jimmy drew dead last in his heat and would pass 1 car. He started 16th in the A and would end up in 13th. Jimmy is really looking to head back to Farmington for the next 2 weeks to try and get his season on track. Also sorry for the lack of updates.

4/5/06- Update

Well Jimmy opened the season Saturday night at Pevely and did now have a good night at all. The crew was trying some new things with the fuel system and the car and it did not work. Jimmy would end up wrecking in turn 1 and 2. Jimmy will be back in action at Jacksonville on Friday night and Lincoln on Saturday. Also on the left side of the screen is a poll for Jimmy. Please take a minute and vote.

2/20/06 - Update

I have updated the 2006 racing schedules. This is a tentative schedule for Jimmy right now. Jacksonville is not included in this schedule because they have not released there's yet and Lincoln is not a for sure deal yet either.

2/18/06 - Update

Well racing season is only a month away and Jimmy and the crew are just about ready to go. Jimmy is really excited about this season after he had so much success last season. He said that he hopes that he has gotten all the bad luck out of his system from last season. He said if they could keep there motors together and learn more about the fuel system that they will have a great year. Jimmy will kick off the year with the World of Outlaws in Batesville Arkansas and then travel with them to the I-55 speedway in Pevely Missouri. After that Jimmy is going to run a few local shows and then do some hit and miss shows with the Outlaws and All Stars. Jimmy is not going to commit to run at any track all season as he wants to get out on the road and learn. Jimmy also wants to thanks R and S Towing, Sammy's Sports Bar, Action Graphics, Bobby Shaw Property Maintenance and  Coy's Car Corner for being on board for the 2006 season.

11/01/05 - Update

Jimmy would like to thank R&S Towing for everything they have did for him and the team this year. Also Sammy's Sport's bar and Grill for the free beer which really makes the crew happy. A big thanks to Jeff Stollis and Action Graphics for helping get the sponsors and for doing the lettering on the car. Jimmy is looking to do a lot of traveling next year. He is really wanting to run the MASS series. Jimmy said it is time for him to get on the road and race as he is had enough local experience over the past three years. Jimmy is currently looking for more sponsors for the 2006 season. Also Jimmy would like to thank all of his fans that was there this year to support him threw the feature wins and the blown motors. Hopefully 2006 will be a better year for Jimmy and the crew

10/31/05 - News Update

Sorry  for the lack of updates. Jimmy went to Little Rock Ark. this weekend for the Short Track Nationals and had yet more bad luck. It was a fun weekend since the family was around and Jimmy really gelled with Dean Adams during the weekend. We wish would could of been faster and made the show. Next year Jimmy hopes he can have a 360 of his own so he can be more comfortable in the car and be more prepared for the big event.

10/01/05 - Farmington, Mo

Jimmy was in the toughest heat race of the night and had to start 3rd row outside for the Queens Royal. The track was a one groove tacky track. Jimmy had a tough time passing cars on the one lane track. Jimmy would move his way into 4th quickly and would follow Jay Landolt for 3 laps until a caution would come out. On the restart Jimmy would use the high line to blast around Landolt for 3rd. Jimmy then set his eyes on 2nd place Joey Montgomery. Going into turn 3 Jimmy would show Joey his nose and was unable to make the pass but going into turn 1 Jimmy made the move of the night by going underneath Joey with 3 laps to go. That put Jimmy in the dash. Jimmy would run the leader Jerrod Hull down but ran out of laps. In the dash Jimmy would start front row outside and took full advantage of it. Jimmy won the dash over Timmy Montgomery. On the start of the feature bad luck feel on Jimmy like it has many of times this year. Jimmy lost a cylinder in the motor but he still ran it. Jimmy battled Timmy for the lead for 10 laps until his finally lost his motor. Jimmy would get scored for 17th. This was just one of many features that Hurley Racing had taken away by engine problems and bad luck.

9/29/05 - News Update

Jimmy and the team will be making there final trip of the year to Farmington this weekend for the Queens Royal. Jimmy and the crew believe they have a good shot at winning the $5000 to win race. On Sunday they will be headed to the $3000 to win race at Granite City. October 27-29 Jimmy is planning on running in the 360 Short Track Nationals at I -30 Speedway in Little Rock Ark.

9/24/05 - Farmington, Mo

Jimmy would start on the 2nd row inside of his heat and he would be leading the race going into the first turn. Jimmy would not look back in the heat as he would go onto the easy win. In the Dash Jimmy had a right rear wheel break allowing the wheel to leak air. The tire came in with 3 pounds of air after starting with 9. The car was really getting on the right rear hard almost making Jimmy flip coming out of 4. Jimmy would finish 5th in the 8 car dash. The A-Main got rained out and will not be made up. The drivers would get paid by there starting spots in the A. Jimmy got paid for 5th.

9/17/05 - Canton, Il

Jimmy marked this race on his schedule at the beginning of the year as want to win. Jimmy started out by drawling a great pill which put him on the front row pole of his heat. Jimmy would take of in his heat and wouldn't look back. In the A-Main Jimmy would start 3rd. Before the race the team was talking about what they wanted to do to the car. Jimmy told them that if it was going to be the same kind of track as the years before then they needed to loosen the car since it would lock down with rubber so the crew did as Jimmy wanted. In the A-Main is was clear that Jimmy had made the wrong decision was he could not get a hold of the rubber. Jimmy would still race with the leaders but he couldn't get the bite he needed to make a move on them. Jimmy would end up 4th. After the race Jimmy said this was the worst race he has drove and yet the best finish in a bad setup car. He was very disappointed that he could not do what the team had set out to do for the year.

9/10/05 - Farmington, Mo

Jimmy's pill drawling still is bad as he drawls dead last of his heat. Jimmy started 8th in his heat race and quickly moved to the front of the fastest heat race. Jimmy would get up to 3rd when the last caution would come out with 2 laps to go. Jimmy would try a high side pass of Tommy Worley Jr but Jimmy would jump the cushion and would end up 3rd in the heat. In the A-Main Jimmy was on a move as he quickly moved from his 7th place starting spot to 4th. With 10 laps remaining Jimmy would pass Tommy Worley Jr on the top and began to run down Terry Babb. Jimmy would catch Terry with 5 laps to go but lap traffic was a big factor as neither of the drivers could find their way threw it. Jimmy would make one final attempt coming out of the last turn and slid Terry for 2nd. Jimmy followed Timmy Montgomery to the line for 2nd.

9/3/05 - Farmington, Mo

Jimmy had yet another great night at Farmington as he drew front row outside of his heat race. Jimmy would easily pull off the win with a huge lead at the checkers. In the dash Jimmy drew the #3 pill which put him 2nd row inside. Jimmy and the crew decided to try something new and they did. Jimmy ran 2 laps in the dash and pulled off saying that the car was junk. In the A-main it looked like Jimmy might still be having handling problems as he started 6th and fell back to 8th at the start. Jimmy then started his run towards the front as he would battle Tommy Worley Jr and Bryan Matthews for several laps and finally got around them 2 and used a slick high side pass on Bob Thoman for 4th. Jimmy then had his eyes set on Terry Babb and Jason Keith. The three of them would beat and bang for 8 laps and slide each other back and forth until a late red flag would set up a 7 lap dash to the finish. Jimmy blasted around Terry Babb on the top on the restart and would then jump the cushion coming out of turn 2 letting Jason Keith to battle with Joey Montgomery for the lead. Jimmy would get right back into his groove and reel in Jason Keith. Jimmy put a slide job on Jason Keith coming out of turn 4 with 2 laps to go and then had to run down Joey Montgomery which was 8 car lengths ahead. Jimmy reeled him in on the final lap and would mess up coming out of turn 4 allowing Joey to get 4 car lengths back on him but Jimmy went into turns 1 and 2 wide open and would shot down to the inside of Joey on the back stretch and put a slide job on Joey on the last lap coming out of 4 to win his 3rd feature of the year at Farmington and 4th total of the season.

8/30/05 - Farmington, Mo

The night did not start out good for Jimmy as he was running 2nd in his heat race his timing in the motor started slipping making it to where Jimmy had to pull off. That would put Jimmy somewhere he hasn't been in a long time in the B-main. Jimmy started the B-main 3rd row inside and did not waste 1 lap to take the lead. Jimmy ended up lapping the field to 3rd place in 10 laps. In the A-main Jimmy started 15th and put on what had to be the best show all year long at Saint Francois County as he weaved he way threw the field to finish 4th. Jimmy was by far the fastest car on the track but ran out of laps and had a little bad luck to try and go for his 2nd win in a row.

Jimmy in Hot Lap Action

8/20/05 - Farmington, Mo

Things still have stayed the same with Jimmy drawling pills. He drew a #34 which put him 3rd row outside of his heat race. Jimmy would not stay there for long as he was leading the heat race by lap 3. Jimmy put a slide on Keith Burch coming out of 4 to take the lead and he did not look back after that. Jimmy decided he better let someone else try there luck at drawling a pill for the dash so he let his grand pal draw and he pulled out a 5 so it was the second worst pill in the hat so they are getting better. Jimmy would finish the dash in 5th. In the A-main Jimmy quickly jumped into the 3rd spot and passed for 2nd and the caution came out. On the restart Jimmy put another good slide job on Kent Buckley for 2nd and then began to run down A.J. Bruns for the lead. 3 laps later Jimmy put a slide job on A.J. that was dirty putting A.J. in the front stretch wall but not hurting A.J's car. Jimmy would run the high side the rest of the race and won the race by 12 car lengths over Bruns. After the race Jimmy's first words were " first I need to say sorry to A.J. for passing him dirty" And then Jimmy went on to thanking his crew and sponsors R&S Towing, Actions Graphics and Sammy's Sports Bar. This win is Jimmy's 3rd of the year and 2nd at Farmington.

8/13/05 - Farmington, Mo

It has become a ritual for Jimmy to draw in the back of his heat. Jimmy started 6th in the heat and that didn't slow him down as his ripped threw the field. Jimmy would make it up to 2nd and would follow A.J Bruns to the checkers. In the dash Jimmy drew the worst pill #6. Jimmy would finish 5th in it. In the A-Main Jimmy started 5th and would pass 2 cars in it to finish 3rd. Jimmy said that the car was very tight and he thought it was the worst handling car he has drove.

8/6/05 - Farmington, Mo

Jimmy once again started dead last in his heat race. Jimmy would finish 4th in the heat. In the A Jimmy started 10th and was passing for 2nd until a lap car spun in front of him. Jimmy spun and Bryan Matthews hit Jimmy wide open cutting Jimmy's right front tire putting him out of the race. He ended 12th.

8/5/05 - Jacksonville, Il

Jimmy drew another bad pill wick put him dead last in his heat race. Jimmy was in a heat with a bunch of idiots that don't belong in a race car. Jimmy could not pass any of them until late in the race. Jimmy finished 5th after starting 10th. In the A-main Jimmy started 10th and came threw the field quickly. Jimmy ran out of laps as he was the fastest car on the track. Jimmy would end up 4th.

8/3/05 - Pevely, Mo

Jimmy was once again in his car at I-55 and in the heat race was running 3rd and was passing for the lead on the bottom of the track until a caution came out with 1 lap to go. That would put Jimmy back to 3rd and that is where he would finish. In the A-main Jimmy started 10th and fell back to 12th. Jimmy said he picked the wrong tire, which what he meant was he picked to hard of a tire. The tire finally started working on lap 15 and Jimmy moved threw the field quickly and finished 3rd.

7/29/05 - Jacksonville, Il

Jimmy was back in his car for the non wing show tonight. Jimmy drew a bad pill but lucked out and started 2nd row outside of his heat race. Jimmy quickly moved forward on the on groove track. Jimmy finished 2nd in the heat behind Hud Cone. In the A-main Jimmy started 3rd row outside and by the time the first lap was over Jimmy was leading the race. Jimmy blasted by the front to rows on the top of the track. Jimmy was on a cake walk running the top. A late race caution came out and on the restart Derek O'Dell would get by Jimmy to go on and win the feature. Jimmy finished 2nd.

7/23/05 - Farmington, Mo

Jimmy was back in the 21s car tonight and qualified 18th out of 36 cars with the All Stars. Jimmy won his heat race. In the A-main it went back to qualifying times so Jimmy had to start 17th and was up to 10th when he made contact with Cody Geldart. Jimmy would go back to 24th and make his way back to 14th.

7/22/05 - Jacksonville, Il

Jimmy ran Larry Steinbaker's 21s car tonight. Jimmy lead the heat over Jeremy Cambell until his right rear tire went flat. Jimmy ended up 3rd in the heat. In the A-main Jimmy was running 6th and racing for 5th when the motor started missing. Jimmy tried to keep up the rpm's on the motor to keep it from missing and while trying to do that he was driving the car in the turns harder and drove it into 1 and 2 a little to deep and spun out. Lance Gullo hit Jimmy when he spun and bent the drag link into the nerf bar making it where the car would not steer. Jimmy was placed 12th.

7/20/05 - Update

Jimmy should have one of his motors back for this weekend but Jimmy has decided to run Larry Steinbaker's 21s in Jacksonville Friday night and at the All Star show in Farmington Saturday night. Jimmy and Larry will then sit and talk to see if Jimmy runs the car for the remainder of the year. Check back for more news on the car change.

7/16/05 - Farmington, Mo

Jimmy was going to race the 21s car of Larry Steinbaker's tonight until the rains came and washed the show out.

7/15/05 - Jacksonville, Il

Jimmy finally got a good starting spot for a special show in Jacksonville for the Herb Barlow Memorial. Jimmy started on the pole and jumped out to the early lead until his motor blew up with 2 laps to go. Jimmy was done for the night. Jimmy will be in action tomorrow night in Larry Steinbaker's #21s.

7/9/05 - Pevely, Mo

Jimmy made a last minute decision to try and take on the World of Outlaws at Pevely. Jimmy would draw the best pill you could for qualifying, the #1. Jimmy did not take advantage of it by setting 26th quick time. Jimmy complained that his motor was not putting out all the power it should be so they found that the butterflies on the fuel injection was not opening all the way and boy what a difference that made. Jimmy started last in his heat and ended up 6th one spot out of a transfer. In the B-main Jimmy started 6th and wasted no time getting to the final transfer spot. Jimmy ended up finishing in 4th and made his first World of Outlaws feature. In the A-main Jimmy raced with Jason Sides and Tim Keading for 21 laps and was as high as 15th after starting 24th. Jimmy would pull in when the leaders ended up coming up to lap him. Jimmy was scored 19th.

7/8/05 - Canton, Il

Jimmy drew a bad pill for the heat race placing him 3rd row inside at the fast 3/8 mile track in Banner Illinois with the MSCS Non Wing series. Jimmy wasted no time at all moving to the front. Jimmy was leading the heat race by the end of the first lap. Jimmy cruised on to victory in the heat. in the A-main Jimmy started front row outside and was running the high side and moved around Alex Shanks for the lead when the caution would come out. That put Jimmy back in 2nd and on the restart Shanks did not take off and Jimmy ran over his left rear and Terry Babb hit Jimmy in the left rear causing Jimmy's ;left rear shock to fall off. Jimmy would race the last 12 laps with no left rear shock and would end up 5th.

7/6/05 - Farmington, Mo

Jimmy started in the back of a tough heat race once again. Jimmy quickly moved his way up to 3rd and tried a last lap slide job on Steve Short but couldn't complete it. Jimmy ended up 3rd in the heat. In the A-main Jimmy would move his way up to 6th before Lance Gullo would spin out in front of him. Jimmy did a 360 and avoided hitting Gullo and Jimmy keep the car going but the officials said he was apart of the wreck so Jimmy would have to restart the race in 20th. Jimmy moved back up to finish 9th in only 10 laps.

6/29/05 - Farmington, Mo

Jimmy headed back to his usual stop on Saturday nights in Farmington, Mo. Jimmy started 2nd row inside of his heat and followed Timmy Montgomery to the line for a 2nd place finish in the heat. In the dash Jimmy once again drew the last pill number 6 like he did the week before and ended up with 4th in the dash after battling for the win. In the A-main Jimmy would lay back and let the top 3 fight for the lead. Jimmy made his move on lap 15 and passed Steve Short for the lead. While Jimmy was passing  Steve for the lead the two made contact pushing Jimmy's tie rod into his radiator box allowing him not to be able to steer the car. Jimmy would end up with 5th after having one of the fastest cars in the feature.

6/28/05 - Jacksonville, Il

Well first off it was the makeup feature from the rainout 2 weeks earlier. Jimmy started 6th row outside and after 3 really nice slide jobs Jimmy was running in the 2nd spot. A late race yellow came out allowing Jimmy one more shot to pass for the lead and that he did. He put a slide job on Jerrod Hull on the restart only to have a another yellow come and that put Hull back in front of him. Jimmy would fall back 2 spots to 4th after the yellow. He finished 4th. In the heat race Jimmy started on the outside of the front row and he took full advantage of it by walking away to a easy win. In the dash Jimmy started 4th and took the lead for a brief time and ended up settling for 4th. In the A-main Jimmy was running 4th and spun out trying to move his wing back. Jimmy would have to restart in the 18th spot and in 9 laps worked his way back to 8th.

6/21/05 - Illinois Missouri Challenge Thoughts

Jimmy had the best Illinois Missouri challenge results this year than the other previous 3 years he has raced in it. Jimmy had 2 top 5's and had a 3rd on at Jacksonville until he was caught in a wreck after coming from nearly a last place starting spot. Jimmy almost put together his 3rd win of the season at Farmington, Mo on Saturday night. On Wednesday night Jimmy was fast after starting 12th on a one groove track he worked his way up to 5th. Jimmy and the crew finally have a good enough weekend to keep there heads high and have something to build on the try and finish the season on a strong note.

6/18/05 - Farmington, Mo

Jimmy drew yet another bad pill for the second night in a row. Jimmy did not let that effect him as he quickly moved from the back of his heat race to finish 2nd behind Tommy Worley Jr. Jimmy drew the last pill in the dash once again. Jimmy mad 2 real good slide jobs on the first 2 laps to put himself in the second position were he would finish behind winner Tim Montgomery. In the A-main Jimmy jumped out to the early lead over Timmy Montgomery. Timmy would put a slide job on Jimmy in lap traffic on about the 12th lap and Jimmy would follow him for 2 laps before sliding Timmy back. Timmy would end up passing Jimmy again in lap traffic. Jimmy would hold a hard charge from Joey Montgomery and Jason Keith to finish 2nd.

6/17/05 - Jacksonville, Il

The second leg of the Illinois/Missouri Challenge was not as nice to Jimmy as the first one was. Jimmy started in the back of the toughest heat race and ended up making the show in the final transfer spot. In the A-main Jimmy quickly moved from his 16th starting spot to 5th in just 7 laps of racing. Jimmy then could not miss a spun out Jerrod Hull and Ron Standridge. Jimmy had to go to last again and moved his way back to 12th.

6/15/05 - Pevely, Mo

Jimmy and Crew traveled to I-55 Raceway for the first leg of the Illinois/Missouri Clash Wednesday night. Jimmy drew a good number which put him on the pole of his heat race. He did not take advantage of it letting Joey Montgomery and Jerrod Hull beat him. Jimmy would have to start 6th row inside of the feature. The track took rubber on lap 4 and it was a one groove track. Jimmy would make his way up to 5th though. Jimmy and randy Hannagain were the only 2 cars passing as the rest were following each other.

6/12/05

Well Jimmy had a great night Saturday in Farmington. After drawing a very bad pill for the heat race Jimmy would catch a little bit of luck when the car in front of him decided to start on the tail of the heat. That moved Jimmy to the 2nd row inside. Jimmy would not waste anytime on the one groove tacky race track as he would be leading the race before the first lap was over. Jimmy went on to win the race by a half lap. Jimmy also drew dead last for the dash. Jimmy made a bone chilling move on the start that seen him shoot between Tim Montgomery and Tommy Worley Jr. Jimmy took the lead and then the yellow came out making Jimmy go back to 2nd and he would follow Jason Hunt to the line. In the A-main Jimmy took control from the drop of the green flag leading all 25 laps. Jimmy was a rocket in the open track and would only have to battle with a hard charging Tommy Worley Jr. in lap traffic where Worley almost got underneath him with 5 laps to go. Jimmy would hold of the charge to record his 2nd feature win of the season and 1st of the year at Farmington.

6/12/05

Once again Jimmy drew a bad pill at Jacksonville which meant he would start on the back of the heat race. Jimmy had the toughest heat race to. Jimmy wasted no time at all in the heat coming from 7th the 3rd with 50 mph winds as the storm was quickly moving in. The storm finally hit after the heat race and the races were postponed. There will be double features on the May 24th.

6/4/05

Jimmy won his heat race with ease over Tim Montgomery putting Jimmy in the dash. Jimmy would draw the 6 pill for the dash and have to start dead last in it. Jimmy would make contact with a spun out Tim Montgomery. Jimmy tore his top wing up and smashed his header shut making him exit the track early and finishing last in the dash. In the A-main Jimmy fell make to 7th and that is where he would end up on a really bad night where is seemed nothing was going there way at all.

5/29/05 - New Florence, Mo

When Jimmy and his crew first looked at the track at Montgomery County they quickly knew they would be tough to beat there and was they right. Jimmy won his heat race by a half a track over Timmy Montgomery. In the A-Main Jimmy would jump out to a 10 car length lead over Joey Montgomery. On lap 8 Jimmy's car began to come out of gear and Jimmy got in back in gear but it would not stay in gear making Jimmy have to stop and go back to 18th. Jimmy would race his way back to 8th in 8 laps when the A-Main was rained out. Jimmy's bad luck still seems to be following him and it looked like he had yet another feature won.

5/28/05 - Farmington, Mo

Saturday night Jimmy started in the back of his heat race and finished 3rd. In the A-main Jimmy was held up by a slower car for 7 laps. when Jimmy got around him jimmy was easily the fastest car on the track as he would erase a half a track advantage the leaders had on him. Jimmy ended up getting to 4th and was passing for 2nd 3 times in which a yellow would come out and he would have to go back to 4th. Jimmy ended up 4th.

5/27/05 - Jacksonville, Il

Friday night started off bad for Jimmy as he would have to go and receive 9 stitches in his middle finger. That would not keep him from racing as he would finish 3rd in his heat. In the A main Jimmy' car was really bad as he would fall back to 15th in one lap. Jimmy would race his way back to 7th where he started.

 5/24/05

Jimmy had motor problems Friday night and was unable to race at Jacksonville. Saturday night in Farmington Jimmy ran 2nd in his heat after coming from last. In the dash Jimmy finished 7th. Jimmy also finished 7th in the A-main.

5/16/05

Jimmy had a alright weekend racing with the MASS series and running the local shows at Jacksonville and Farmington. Jimmy really had a good night going on Sunday until he spun in the dash. Friday night Jimmy picked up the feature win and he thought that would set the pace for a really good weekend. Saturday night Jimmy held his own and really had his work cut out for him starting in the back, but overall Jimmy was pleased with the weekend and he knows that he is going to have to step up him game to win more features after racing with some of the best in the game on Sunday.

5/15/05 - Haubstadt, Ind.

Jimmy traveled to the MASS show in Haubstadt Indiana. Jimmy would draw front row pole of his heat race and win it by a very big margin. In the dash Jimmy was running 2nd behind Jeremy Cambell until Jimmy spun coming out of turn 4. In the A-main on the Start the car in front of Jimmy checked up causing Jimmy to have to run to the inside of the track resulting in him bending up his floor pan into the throttle. Jimmy would race that way for about 15 laps and then pulled in. Jimmy finished 19th.

5/14/05 - Farmington, Mo.

Jimmy finished 4th in his heat race at Farmington and 7th in the A-main after starting 10th. Jimmy was in a really stacked heat race and started last in it but moved his way up to 4th. In the A-main Jimmy was up to 5th but would make the wrong choices in lap traffic and ended up 7th.

5/13/05 - Jacksonville, Il

Jimmy picked up his first feature win of the season and first one at Jacksonville Friday night. Jimmy finished 2nd in his heat race to Robbie Standridge and 2nd in the dash to Robbie. In the A main Jimmy would jump out to the early lead. Robbie passed Jimmy in lap traffic. Robbie lost a water hose on a late race caution allowing Jimmy to take over the lead and not give it up.

Jimmy in Victory Lane with Family and Crew

5/9/05

Jimmy raced in Farmington this week and had a really good night going for him. He won his heat race easily and also won the dash. Jimmy lead the first 21 laps until a late race caution came out. Jerrod Hull would then pass Jimmy on the outside and Jimmy followed him into the next turn and then spun out. Jimmy would end up 9th.

5/2/05

Jacksonville falls to rain for second week in a row and the All Star's canceled at Farmington on Saturday but Farmington still had a regular show. Jimmy had motor problems all night long keeping him out of racing action. Jimmy will be at Farmington again this Saturday and hopefully in a 360 Friday night in Jacksonville. The All Star's schedule and MASS schedule's have been updated on the schedule's page.

4/25/05

Both Jacksonville and Farmington was won by Mother Nature. It was to wet for Jacksonville and to Cold for Farmington. Jimmy will be back in action Friday night at Jacksonville and Saturday Night he will attempt to take on the All Stars at Farmington. Jimmy has had the All Star show at Farmington marked on his schedule since it was released. Jimmy really has high hopes for it.

4/23/05

RACES ARE CANCELED FOR SATURDAY NIGHT IN FARMINGTON!

4/22/05

RACES ARE CANCELED FOR FRIDAY NIGHT IN JACKSONVILLE!

4/19/05

It seems that Jimmy might have started to get back into the groove he was in last season. Jimmy lead 14 laps in Jacksonville until a late race caution came out with 7 laps to go. Jimmy's car went away on him and he allowed Jimmy Moughan, and Jerrod Hull to get by him. On the last lap Joey Montgomery would pass him to. Jimmy finished 2nd in his heat and 3rd in the dash. Saturday night Jimmy finished 3rd in his heat behind Jason Keith and Timmy Montgomery. Jimmy was up to 4th in the A -main until the track took rubber and his car got tight. Jimmy would end up 7th. This weekend is a $2000 to win show in Jacksonville and then a regular show in Jacksonville.

 4/11/05

Jimmy traveled to opening night at Saint Francois County Raceway Saturday night. Jimmy had some bad luck from the very start. In hot laps Jimmy broke a steering gear and had to borrow one from Jason Keith. Jimmy got it repaired just in time for his heat race. Jimmy went on to win the heat from his 3rd place starting spot. Jimmy drawled the pole for the dash and also went on to win it unchallenged. In the A-Main Jimmy started from the best spot the pole. Joey Montgomery jumped out to the early lead and Jimmy was right on his toes for the first 10 laps until his steering arm broke. That ended Jimmy's night.

4/6/05

After the upsetting trip to Florida Jimmy traveled to the I-55 Speedway in Pevely, Mo to take on the World Of Outlaws. Jimmy qualified 25th quick out of 49. Jimmy missed the inversion by 1 spot so he had to start in the 4th row of his heat race. Jimmy's car was way to loose so he stayed out of trouble since he was not in a transfer spot. Jimmy started the B-main in 6th place and moved into the 3rd spot. Jimmy then got a little loose allowing Shane Stewart and Danny Smith to get by him. Jimmy would run Danny Smith back down at the end of the race but ran out of lap missing the A-main by 1 spot. Jimmy said the night was not a total loss as they found out the motor is alright after Florida. Jimmy is looking forward to this Saturday at Farmington. I have added some photos from Pevely also.

3/5/05

The 2005 schedule's are now all out and I have them on the schedule page. Jimmy will be in action again on Saturday April 2nd at the I-55 Speedway in Pevely, Mo. It is a World of Outlaws show. Jimmy is really excited about that race and thinks he has a good shot of making the show.

2/25/05

I have updated the look of the schedule's page finally. It is a lot easier to view and navigate on now. Also I put the IRA, WoO, All Stars, Mass and MSCS schedule's on there. I am going to be adding some photos from Florida this week.

2/8/05

Jimmy would like to thank his Grandparents Betty and Vern Aunt's and Uncle's Norma and Steve and Vernie for all the help that they gave him while he was in Florida. Without there help it would of not been possible for Jimmy to go there and race. Also Jimmy would like to thank Butch and Scott for there help. A special thanks goes to R&S towing for funding the trip. Thank you to everyone for helping and wish we could of had some better luck.

2/7/05

Well Florida could of not been a bigger disaster for Jimmy. Jimmy took a new car to Florida and  junked the frame on it. Jimmy also blew a motor to. On night 1 in Florida Jimmy set 25th quick time out of 44 which made him miss the invert by one spot. Jimmy then missed the A by 2 spots in the B. Jimmy was just as fast as all the other cars but it was a one groove track for the first 2 nights. Jimmy was able to pass 3 cars in the Strawberry Dash on Wednesday night. On night 2 Jimmy completely missed the gear selection on the car and qualified bad. In the heat race Jimmy ran on the bumper of Jason Meyers, Fred Rahmer and Kelly Kinser. It was just a one groove track. In the B Jimmy car was way to tight and he should of pulled in but did not. He then hit the front stretch wall resulting in a bent front axle, bent wheel, bent frame, broken Jacobs ladder. On night 3 Jimmy hot lapped and the car missed for a couple of laps before Jimmy noticed that he had broke a rocker and a push rod. That resulted in Jimmy ending the 4 race show early. I will be adding photos from Florida soon and also the results page from is updated.

1/20/05

Jacksonville's 2005 schedule is now up. Also I have made a new schedule page for the complete 2005 season on the schedule link.

1/3/05

Classifieds updates!!!

12/20/04

Jimmy went to a Lincoln Speedway meeting on Dec 16th about running wingless sprint cars. They said there will be at least 10 shows there for the 2005 racing season. It will be on Sundays. It is going to pay $700 to win and $100 to start. They also said that it would be announced at the Springfield Tradeshow if they will run sprints every week so be sure and check back. Jimmy is planning on running there for 10 shows at least and try to run at Kokomo speedway in Indiana on the other Sundays. I have also updates the special shows schedule to include 2 more I-55 Speedway races. Jimmy received his 2nd place trophy Saturday night at the Saint Francois County Raceway awards banquet. Jimmy still has no for sure plans for 2005 yet. As of now he will be doing some hit and miss stuff. CLASSIFIEDS SECTION IS UPDATED

 12/11/04

I have updated the 2005 special shows schedule. It is only World of Outlaw shows and a MSCS show. Also Jimmy will be racing in Florida at East Bay Raceway for the 2nd - 5th. Jimmy is still not for sure whether or not they will run the full 2005 All Star schedule as the team is not for sure whether sponsor money will let them. So plans for 2005 as of right now are to run local and hit all the big shows that are close.

11/30/04

Finally the Spoon River Speedway in Banner Illinois will have a sprint car show early in the season. It was announced on 11-29-04 that DQ clash would take place there on Sunday April 10th. It will be a MSCS Non Wing sprint show plus the MARA midgets.

11/9/04

I have added 40 or more new photos from 2004. I will try to get some more on the site when I get them.

 10/30/04

It is that time of the year to rest and lose your mind. Racing season is over and Jimmy didn't have all that bad of a year besides the last night of racing in Jacksonville where he went from 3rd in points to 7th. Jimmy finished 2nd in points at Farmington and 8th in the Valvoline Cup points which is a national points system for non wing and wing sprint cars. Jimmy may be back in action in January at the Chili Bowl. He is hoping to get a ride for the Florida Speed week's or maybe even drive his own.

10/17/04

Finally we got the Shaneens Back From Past night in at Jacksonville. Jimmy started 3rd row in his heat race and moved his way up to second until he got shoved in the wall. Jimmy had a flat left front and had to leave the track. That put Jimmy in the back of the B main which was 16th and he had to finish 3rd or better to transfer to the A. That he did. He came threw the field with ease and when he got to 3rd he took it easy. Jimmy started 18th in the A main and quickly moved up to 7th until he made contact with the turn 4 wall. Jimmy fell back to 15th and began to make his way back up to 6th. Jimmy was running in 6th with 10 laps to go when he was forced off the front stretch into the wall. He saved it from hitting the wall but he was off the track and his night was done.

10/7/04

Sorry for the lack of updates. Last Friday at Jacksonville was rained out and rescheduled for this Friday and it also rained out. The make up will be next Friday the 15th. Last Saturday Jimmy finished 1st in his heat at Farmington and his throttle linkage broke in the dash causing him not to finish. In the A Jimmy started 10th and finished 7th. Jimmy ended up 2nd in the points at Farmington. Tomorrow night the 9th Jimmy will be racing with the Outlaws at Tri City Speedway.

9/21/04

Jimmy had a disappointing weekend. He made up for it A little bit on Saturday night at Canton.

9/18/04

Saturday night Jimmy made the trip to Spoon River Speedway instead of Farmington. Jimmy would draw a bad pill and had to start dead last in his heat. That didn't stop him from trying to make up for Friday night as Jimmy would be running in 2nd place in the heat before they even got to the line for the green. Jimmy was underneath Brian Brown for the lead but Brown would end up winning the heat. That would put Jimmy third row inside for the A. Jimmy would get hung up with Corey Weyant and Matt Rogerson in the early stages of the race but passed both on the back straight at the same time. Jimmy would get many of good runs on Brian Brown but Brown saved his tires and Jimmy didn't Jimmy would finish a strong 3rd behind 2nd place Brown and 1st place Cameron Dodson.

9/17/04

The game was the same for Jimmy at Jacksonville. He would draw dead last for his heat again and on this night that was bad. The track was one groove and rough. Jimmy would pass 4 cars to get up to 5th but missed the transfer by 1 spot. In the B main Jimmy was running up on top of the cushion where no one else was and the track was a little smoother up there. Jimmy started to make it work but then him and the wall made contact. Jimmy would have to retire after that with server damage to the front end and right side of his car.

9/13/04

Jimmy had a really good weekend. Jimmy finished 4th both Friday and Saturday nights. This weekend Jimmy is not sure whether he will run at Farmington on Saturday night or Canton. He will know for sure by the Thursday so keep checking back for updates.

9/11/04

Saturday night at Farmington Jimmy started 2nd row inside of his heat and won it with ease. In the dash Jimmy started 2nd row inside and moved to the high side of the track on lap 2 and made hard contact with the wall resulting in a broken Jacobs Ladder. Jimmy started 6th in the A main and moved up to 4th and would finish there.

9/10/04

This was one of Jimmy's best race of his career. Friday night at Macon Speedway with the All Stars Jimmy timed in 19th quick out of 34 which wasn't that good and looked like it was going to be a rough night. Jimmy started front row outside of his heat and won it with Kerry Madsen chasing him. For the A -main the would line the field up by qualifying times which meant Jimmy would have to start 9th row outside on a track that there was no passing all night long. When the green flag dropped Jimmy was on it and by the lap 4 caution Jimmy was up to 11th. 3 laps later he was 8th and by lap 30 he was 3rd and in contention to win until a red came out. They would go back a lap and that put Jimmy back in 4th behind Chad Kemenah. Chad seen Jimmy's line and would block Jimmy for the last 10 laps. Jimmy ended up 4th. It was a hell of a job by Jimmy to come from 18th to 4th at Macon.

 9/7/04

Jimmy didn't have too bad of a weekend. Jimmy started 12th Friday night at Jacksonville and ended up 3rd. Saturday Night at Farmington he started 20th and finished 8th. Sunday night at Farmington  he started 13th and finished 5th.

9/5/04 - Farmington

Sunday at Farmington Jimmy started 9th in his heat and moved his way up to the 4th spot. Jimmy started 13th in the A. Jimmy had no problems moving threw the field until he got to 7th and had to battle for 6 laps. He then got by and had not problem with the 6th place car. Jimmy's next hard one was Steve Short and go hung up on him for 6 laps. Jimmy ended up 5th

9/4/04 - Farmington

Saturday Night Jimmy started 3rd in his heat race and fell back to 4th. a late race caution came out which Jimmy took full advantage of by putting a 2 car slide job on in one turn. Jimmy Finished 2nd. Jimmy would have to start dead last in the dash. On the start of the dash Jimmy jumped Derek O'Dell's left rear and flipped on his side. Jimmy was able to complete the dash but was unable to steer the car. Jimmy started 7th in the A-main and on the start he got tangled up with Timmy Moss. Jimmy had a flat left rear tire and was able to change it but he had to restart dead last which was 20th. Jimmy quickly tore threw the field to finish a solid 8th place.

9/3/04 - Jacksonville

Jimmy started on the pole of his heat race and was running in second until a dirty slide job from Ricky Steinhouse Jr. Jimmy finished 3rd in the heat. Jimmy started 12th in the A and quickly moved his way up to the front. On the last lap Jimmy got underneath Jimmy Moughan for 1st but Jimmy slide up the track and stuffed Ricky Steinhouse Jr. in the wall allowing Moughan to pass both of them. Jimmy ended up 3rd.

8/29/04

Friday night in Jacksonville was rained out and so was Farmington Saturday night. Jimmy will be racing Friday night at Jacksonville and Saturday and Sunday night at Farmington.

8/28/04

Last Saturday night  the 22nd Jimmy ran at Farmington and did not have one of his better nights of the year. Jimmy started 2nd row outside in his heat race and went to slide Jeff Davis for 2nd on the last lap and could not get by him but it opened the door for Timmy Montgomery to go around Jimmy. Jimmy finished 4th. Jimmy 15th in the A-main and quickly moved to the front. Jimmy would be up to 6th but would end up 9th.

8/18/04

8/17/04

Jimmy raced Saturday night at Farmington, Mo. Jimmy won his heat race by a half track. Jimmy started 7th in the dash and finished 4th. In the A-main Jimmy made it to 3rd and got to racing with Joey Montgomery for a couple of laps and the 2 got together a couple of times before a caution came out. That would put lap car between the 2 and it let Joey pull away from Jimmy. Jimmy would then catch Terry Babb and raced with him the last 4 laps allowing Keith Burch to sneak underneath him. Jimmy had the fastest car on the track but had no luck getting threw lap traffic or by getting around the leaders. Jimmy ended up 5th.

8/12/04

Jimmy finally started in the front of his heat race Friday night at Jacksonville and was not use to being that far in the front so he spun out to go back to the back. Jimmy came back threw the field to finish 3rd. In the A-main Jimmy started 7th and passed 3 cars on the start and was on a move until he caught Derek O'Dell. Odell was running the same line as Jimmy and it was a follow the leader race track. Jimmy would finish 4th. Saturday night at Pevely Missouri with the outlaws Jimmy showed up late to the track and didn't have enough time to change the car to qualify. Jimmy went out late in qualifying and the track was junk. Jimmy ended up with the 29th fastest time. Jimmy finished 8th in his heat. Jimmy started 9th in the B-main and moved up to the final transfer spot by lap 3 and went to go in the middle of the track and buzzed his tires allowing 3 car to get by him. Jimmy would make another late race charge to finish 6th in the B missing the transfer by 2 spots.

7/31/04

Jimmy had a choice of 2 different tracks to run at on Friday night and with it eventually raining Jacksonville out Jimmy went to Spoon River Speedway to run with the All Stars. Jimmy qualified with a lap oh 11.840 which was 15th quickest of the 44 car field. That put Jimmy in the 3rd heat on the 2nd row pole. Jimmy was running 3rd with 2 laps remaining when the gears broke in his rear end causing him to slow quickly on the track and making Bill Rose jump his right rear and flipped many of times. Jimmy was able to change his right rear tire and put new gears in the rear to start on the rear of the field with 2 laps left. Jimmy could improve his position. He ended up 10th. Jimmy passed 3 cars to get up to 3rd and was on  Terry McCarl and Randy Hannagan's bumpers  in the B-main and in a transfer spot but the caution would come out put him back to 4th and in the final transfer spot with 4 laps left. Jimmy didn't get enough heat in the tires on the yellow causing him to let the Scott Young by with 2 laps left. Jimmy tried to dive underneath him in the last turn but was chopped off by him. Jimmy missed the show by 1 spot. Jimmy had a fast race car all night but and was a sure bet to be a front runner in the A-main but bad luck struck with the gears breaking in the heat race.

7/28/04

Sorry for the no updates last week. Last week Jimmy ran at Jacksonville non wing and started in the back of the field and finished 9th in the A-main. Also last week he raced at Farmington and was running 3rd until he hit the inside tires and broke hit pitman arm. Jimmy finished the race in 5th and still maintained his points lead there. This week Jimmy traveled to Bell Clair Speedway to run with the All Stars. Jimmy got to hot lap before the race was canceled due to heavy rains. Friday in Jacksonville Jimmy did the unthinkable. He drew dead last in his heat for the 100th time this year. Jimmy started 9th in his heat and moved up to 6th. Jimmy started 6th row in the a-main and moved up to 6th on a track that only had one groove. Saturday night at Farmington rained out.

7/11/04

Jimmy traveled to Bloomington In Friday night to race with the MASS series. They got all the way to the track to get rained out. Jimmy raced at Farmington on Saturday night. Jimmy started 2nd row inside and on the start Jimmy took the lead on the front stretch. Jimmy won the heat. Jimmy started 3rd in the dash and had a nozzle line come off forcing him to pull in. Jimmy started 7th in the A-main and raced his way to 3rd. Jimmy, Jason Keith, Brian Matthews and Terry Babb battled for the 3rd spot all race long until lap cars raced the leaders. Jason Keith would take 3rd and Babb would finish 4th with Jimmy coming in at 5th. Good news came out of the night to for Jimmy. He took the points lead by 18 over Tim Montgomery.

7/6/04

Jimmy made his way back to the Saint Francois County Raceway Saturday night. Jimmy drew a bad pill again and had to start dead last in his heat. Jimmy made quick work of it in the heat and found his way to 2nd place until a caution came out and bunched the field back up. Jimmy made an excellent move on Tommy Worley Jr. to win the heat race. Jimmy started outside front row of the Dash and followed Brian Matthews for 3 laps. Jimmy then made a good move to pass him and win the dash by a straight away. Jimmy started on the pole of the A-main and jumped out to a big lead. There were lots of yellows that Jimmy didn't need. Jimmy lead the first 20 laps Before the last caution Jimmy had a straight away and half lead on Joey Montgomery with 5 laps to go. After the caution Joey found the rubber on the top side and passed Jimmy for the lead. Tommy Worley Jr. also passed Jimmy. Jimmy finished 3rd.

6/30/04

Jimmy had a good night at Jacksonville. He started 9th in his heat race and made it up to 4th but got passed at the flag stand. He finished 5th. In the A-main Jimmy started 9th and quickly made his way to the front. Jimmy made it to 3rd with 3 laps to go and had a chance to pass for 2nd until the yellow flag came out. Jimmy finished 3rd. Saturday night Jimmy won his heat race and finished 3rd in the dash. Jimmy started 3rd in the A-main and raced in the front for 7 laps and began to fall backwards. Jimmy ended up 10th.

6/20/04

Jimmy did not have the best of luck during the Illinois Missouri Clash.  Bad pill draws the first 2 nights took him out of contention those nights. Saturday night at Farmington Jimmy had one of the fastest cars in the A-main until bad luck struck again with a broken right front shock mount. Jimmy said that they may have figured out how to get the car to go on a dry slick track after the weekend was over. They have struggled all year on a dry slick track. Lets hope that they figured it out.

6-19-04 Farmington - Jimmy started on the front row of his heat race. He battled with Corey Weyant for the lead for the first 6 laps. Jimmy could not get any forward bite out of his car the whole race. Joey Montgomery snuck by Jimmy at the checkers. Jimmy finished 3rd in his heat. Jimmy started 9th in the A-main and quickly began moving to the front. Jimmy got up to 3rd by lap 10 then broke the right front bottom shock mount. That caused Jimmy's car to bounce threw the middle of the turns and push bad coming off. the track took rubber on lap 5. Jimmy ended up finishing 5th. If  the right front shock mount wouldn't of broke Jimmy could of been a contender for the win.
